Aylesbury Vale Youth Theatre presents

Little Women

Following the fantastic success of Mack and Mabel last year, Aylesbury Vale Youth Theatre are back with another full scale musical at The Court. Little Women – The Musical is based on Louisa Alcott’s classic 1869 semi-autobiographical novel, and focuses on the four March sisters – feisty, tom-boyish, aspiring author Jo, romantic Meg, pretentious Amy and kind-hearted Beth – and their beloved Marmee, at home in Concord, Massachusetts, while the family patriarch is away serving as a Union Army Chaplain during the American Civil War. As the story unfolds we are met with marriage, love and death, all interspersed with the melodramatic vignettes written by Jo in her attic studio.

From curtain up to curtain down, the audience is treated to a range of truly astonishing songs, and with a knight, a hag and a troll all involved in Jo’s imaginative narratives, there isn’t a dull moment. With the entire cast and technical team made up of young people aged 16 – 21 years old, Little Women – The Musical is sure to be an exciting and exhilarating musical production that’s not to be missed.
